Early Termination Fees, Charges & Final Invoice
Financial Responsibilities
Early termination does not include a flat cancellation penalty. However, ending your stay early may result in several financial obligations depending on your reservation.
Your final balance may include:
- Rent for the required 30-day notice period.
- Prorated utilities, insurance, and any listing-specific monthly fees through the end of the notice period.
- Non-refundable payment processing fees.
- Non-refundable one-time cleaning fees.
- Recalculated taxes based on your actual length of stay.
- Length-of-Stay (LOS) discount adjustments, when applicable.
Length-of-Stay Discount Adjustments
If your reservation included a discounted monthly rate based on a minimum stay commitment and you end your stay before fulfilling that commitment, the discount is no longer applicable.
The discount previously applied during your stay will be charged back based on the actual number of months occupied.
Example:
A reservation receives a $500 monthly discount based on a six-month commitment. If the guest moves out after three months, the discount adjustment would be $500 × 3 months = $1,500. This amount is added to the final balance.
Final Invoice
Your final invoice combines all applicable charges remaining after your Notice to Vacate has been processed.
For guests enrolled in Pay Monthly, existing payment schedules and invoice due dates remain in effect until all outstanding balances have been paid.
For guests who Paid in Full, prepaid funds are first applied toward any remaining charges. Any eligible remaining balance may be refunded to the original payment method or issued as Anyplace Credits, depending on the circumstances. Payment processing fees remain non-refundable.
Outstanding Balances
Any unpaid balances remain your responsibility after move-out. Accounts with unpaid charges may be referred to collections if they remain unresolved.
